Course Outline

Since October 2009 the guidance from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) for first aid has been changed. For small organisations, where the first aid risk assessment shows that there is a low level of risk of injury the HSE now approve a one day Emergency First Aid at Work training course. Higher risk organisations should provide the 3 day First Aid at Work training for their employees.

This course includes training in a range of basic life saving skills. It is presented in an interactive format, which gives delegates hands on training. Our first aid trainers are not just qualified for the delivery of first aid training but are also certified professional trainers with real life experience of first aid delivery. It is important to us that the training is fully understood by our delegates, after all someone’s life may one day depend on it, but we also make sure that the learning experience is an enjoyable one.

No prior first aid knowledge is required to attend this one day First Aid course. We have an excellent pass rate on all of our First Aid courses. It is so good that we offer a guaranteed pass. If you attend our Emergency First Aid at Work course and do not pass first time we will re-train and / or re-assess your delegates as many times as it takes to gain a pass.

The Lynwood training centre in The Old Courthouse provides the perfect environment for your delegate’s first aid training. The nature of this training requires that people get down on the floor on their hands and knees. We know from courses that we have attended in the past that doing this on the sticky carpet of a pub taproom or on a tiled surface is not pleasant. Our training room is carpeted, clean and well lit. On the other hand, our training centre is not on the Salford Keys but that just means that you don’t have to pay for the view.

If you would like this training to be delivered at your venue this is no problem. Please call to discuss your needs with one of our trainers. In selecting your venue please bear in mind that your delegates will need plenty of floor space to enable the practical elements of this training.
